Our Spring Baptism will take place on Sunday, April 21 at 1:30pm in the Sanctuary!

If you are interested in getting baptized, there are mandatory baptism classes that will be held at 11:00am on Sundays, March 24 and April 7 in Room 201.

To support and encourage our sisters as they start our women's ministry, we will be holding an LSF women's conference on Jan 26-27. We will have an invited speaker teach on identity in Christ and self-esteem, and hope it will be a sweet time of fellowship for our LSF ladies. CFC Berkeley Membership Class will be held on January 21st at 11:15am in Room 204 (pastors’ office). This is for those interested in becoming a church member, or learning more about what membership means. If you would like to request a makeup class because you cannot attend the 1/21 class, please contact Pastor Dennis (dennis.lee@cfcberkeley.org) beforehand.

Our Spring Evangelism Class Series, Fishers of Men, will start up again on January 21st at 11:00am on Sundays for 7 classes. The class details and full schedule are posted on our website under “Christian Education.”

We are excited to kick off the Bible Study Basics class in the Spring. The first class will be Jan 21, 11:00 on Sunday, and will meet at the same time/location moving forward. Through it, we will learn some principles of biblical interpretation, and do some practice as well! We are excited to announce our CFC Berkeley English congregation summer retreat guest speaker and retreat! Pastor Erick Loh from Community Christian Alliance Church in Los Angeles will be joining us, and the theme is Convicted and conflicted: The church and the conscience.

Summer retreat will take place July 7 - July 9, 2023 and registration is open!

Also, after service May 14, you can sign up to be a lunch buddy for a chance to meet people from other fellowships in our English congregation. Buddy lunch will happen after service next week (May 21). Please talk to those on the Post-Sermon Implementation team (outside after Sunday Service) if you have more questions!

The Post-Sermon Implementation Team is excited to announce that there will be an EASTER EGG HUNT in the front yard after church service TODAY, April 16, 2023. Grab a buddy, find and egg, answer the question inside, and receive your candy! Hope you see you there!

We are excited to announce two short-term mission opportunities for summer 2023!

#1.  July 15 through 22: Trip to Duckwater reservation in eastern Nevada.

We will work with Marvin and Linda Mings, full-time workers with the Shoshone tribes.  The experience will include working with tribe members on various service projects in the community, as well as various opportunities to get to know the people in informal settings.  Cost not yet decided, but would be no more than $100 [mainly for food and transportation].

#2.  July 11 through 22: Trip to Taiwan to serve at a summer camp for students up to middle school age.  

The camp begins on July 15 and will run until the 22nd [training on July 13 and 14].  Members will be asked to help teach classes in English to the students.  The camp is large, and there will be a number of other churches involved as well.  You will be going along with some people from our Chinese congregation.  Only cost will be 30% of round-trip airfare.  Other expenses are fully paid.

We will be kicking off our Spring evangelism class, Becoming Fishers of Men, on Sunday, February 5! The class will be 5 sessions long, and will be a mix of lectures, sharing the gospel inside and outside the church with feedback, and a skit!
