We are excited to announce our 2026 Summer Retreat! Our speaker will be Pastor Jason Tarn from Houston Chinese Church, and the retreat series will be “Tracing God’s Hand In The Book of Ruth”. It will take place the last weekend of June (6/26-6/28) and will be held at Sonoma State University.
This year, our registration form is on ChurchCenter! When you access the link, you should be prompted to log in or create an account. For families, the link will allow you to register everyone in one go! If you sign up between today (4/5) and Sunday (4/26), you can take advantage of the early bird pricing which is $205! As noted on the slides, the price will increase by $10 after 4/26 and by another $15 after 5/25.
You must PAY YOUR REGISTRATION FEES in full before the price increase dates in order to get that price. Children between the ages of 0-3 are free! Vinewood’s Good Friday Service will take place in the Sanctuary at 6:00pm, Friday April 3. There will be childcare available in the Fellowship Hall!

We’re excited to announce that registration is now open for our church’s 2026 Vacation Bible School!
Please complete the registration form to sign your child up for an exciting and Christ-centered week of learning, worship, and summer fun. VBS is open to all children who will be entering Kindergarten through 6th grade in Fall 2026.
Here are the key details:
VBS will take place Monday, July 27th through Friday, July 31st, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.
Location: 2715 Prince Street, Berkeley, CA 94705.
The early bird, non-member price is $80.
The regular member price is $130.
Registration closes on May 23, 2026.
Your registration fee includes 5 days of lunch and a VBS T-shirt for your child.

CFC Berkeley’s annual combined worship service will take place at First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley (2407 Dana St, Berkeley, CA 94704) on March 1, 2026 at 3:30pm. This will be a bilingual service (English and Chinese) with Vinewood and Chinese congregations. There will be NO regular Vinewood service.

In this class, we will look at heresies that the church addressed in its first centuries and how modern misunderstandings of Christianity are rebirths of these same heresies. We are excited to send our second short term missions team to Kyrgyzstan to host a Vacation Bible School Camp on June 15-19. The CFC Berkeley’s Christmas Eve service will take place on Wednesday the 24th from 5pm to 6:30pm. It will be bilingual service, combined with our Chinese congregation.

We plan to send a short-term mission team.to the Gospel Center in Osaka, Japan in the Spring of 2026. The dates of the trip will be March 19th through 30th. We are officially kicking off our discipleship ministry! If you are a member of Vinewood and are interested in either discipling or being disciples, please join the Vinewood discipleship group in Church Center and start by filling out the intake form. We will have two upcoming sessions for disciplers on 11/30 and 12/7 at 11:15am in Room 201 - if you plan to disciple others, please plan to make one of the sessions. CFC Berkeley will be hosting VBS this year from July 21-25 and we need volunteers! If you are a youth in 7th grade or above, or a college student or even a young adult we are looking for volunteers to teach Bible stories, lead games and crafts, serve as counselors, and more! We have many opportunities to serve the weekends before VBS begins, at different timeslots during the week of VBS, and more, so don’t be shy to reach out even if you can’t serve a whole week or day of VBS.

We are looking for people interested in attending The Missionary West Coast Conference. It is being held at Northcreek church, June 13-14 with a $40 admissions fee. Missed the last worship night? Fret not!! We will be hosting another All-Vinewood praise and worship night on Saturday 4/26 at 8pm. Come worship and pray with us. All are welcome!
We will be having an Easter Sunday Combined Worship Service this year with our Chinese congregation! To accommodate space, this service will take place at the First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley at 4:00pm.
Vinewood’s Good Friday Service will take place in the Sanctuary at 6:00pm on Friday April 18. All fellowships will participate in this event, including Agape youth. There will be a separate children’s program available in the Fellowship Hall as well.
Summer retreat takes place June 27-29 at Sonoma state university. For our retreat, Dr. Yee will be speaking on “Growing through the Seasons of Life,” looking at scripture for help in navigating our needs, questions, challenges, and opportunities as they change over the different seasons of life. He’ll also lead a workshop exploring the relationship of Asian American identity and culture with Christian faith and worship, exploring how we might bring more of ourselves to church on Sundays and more fully experience God’s care for our whole lives.

On March 9, we will have our Monthly Missions Prayer Meeting in Room 207 (organ room) at 11:15am. This group will meet once per month to pray for missionaries that CFC Berkeley supports!
